Are you an IT Support Engineer looking for a stable, rewarding role where you can make a real difference day-to-day? We’re working with a well-established managed services provider supporting schools across the North West, and they’re looking for a proactive ICT Support Engineer to be based onsite at a primary school in Formby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, working closely with staff and students, and taking ownership of IT systems in a supportive environment. What You’ll Be Doing Providing day-to-day IT support to staff and students Managing and resolving hardware and software issues Maintaining and supporting network and wireless infrastructure Supporting virtualised environments (VMware essential) Administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policies Managing cloud platforms such as Office 365 / Azure Working with firewalls, backups, antivirus and MDM solutions Liaising with third-party suppliers when required
Requirements
Previous experience in an IT Support / ICT Engineer role (ideally 2+ years) Strong VMware experience (essential) Solid understanding of Microsoft environments (Server/Desktop) Experience with networking, backups, and security solutions Excellent communication skills - able to support non-technical users Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (essential) Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
