Job description
Are you an EMS training officer, FTO, or CE instructor with strong relationships across the agencies you train and work with? This role was built for you.
This part-time opportunity lets you earn meaningful income around your existing schedule by staying connected to the people and agencies you already work with and introduce the newest leading EMS Software and Solutions to your colleagues.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re Unified Solutions, a software company built by and for the first responder community. We serve EMS agencies, fire departments, and health departments across 29 states and multiple countries. We’re looking for experienced EMS professionals (not salespeople) to serve as trusted community representatives in their area.
As an instructor, you already have what most people in this role spend years building: a trusted reputation and a knowledge of how things work in your area. This could help you empower the agencies you train for, the crews you’ve worked alongside, and the leaders who bring you in.
What This Role Is (And Isn’t):
You are the local, trusted connection between EMS agencies in your area and Unified Solutions. You own the relationship and we handle everything else.
You will NOT cold call, push products, hit quotas, or “close” anyone. Our first application is always 100% free with no cost and no commitment, so you’re never asking anyone to spend a dime. Your role is to build and maintain relationships with agencies you already know or naturally connect with through your EMS network.
What You’ll Actually Do (about 2 to 4 hours per week):
- Have conversations with EMS directors, chiefs, and the agency contacts and crews you already train and work with about what’s working and what’s not. Allow you to use the newest products to solve long standing problems in the EMS industry.
- Share short videos or resources when an agency is curious about tools like ePCR, CAD, or billing software
- Follow up casually to make sure agencies feel supported, not pressured
- Surface situations where free or low-cost tools could genuinely help first responders
No pipeline management. No grinding. No technical expertise required.
How We Support You:
You’re never on your own. Our team includes dedicated sales specialists for demos and closing, product experts for technical questions, customer support for onboarding, and branded materials you can share. We also provide short training videos for every tool. You focus on relationships and we handle everything else.
Requirements
Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, * Active or recent experience training EMS crews, as an EMS instructor, training officer, FTO, or CE provider for agency crews
- Relationships across multiple agencies or county and regional EMS systems, including involvement in regional training committees
- Reliable follow-through and a genuine desire to help agencies access better tools
- A general familiarity with the EMS technology landscape, including things like ePCR, CAD, billing, and reporting platforms
Preferred (Not Required):
- Leadership experience such as EMS chief, captain, supervisor, training officer, or EMS director
- General familiarity with various EMS software platforms such as ePCR systems, CAD platforms, or billing tools
- Established relationships across multiple agencies or county and regional EMS systems
Benefits & conditions
$20 - $50 an hour - Part-time, Pulled from the full job description
- Flexible schedule, * $20/hour during training and onboarding
- 30% commission on first-year software revenue from agencies you connect
- 10% ongoing residual commission in subsequent years, as long as you remain their point of contact
- Many liaisons help just 2 to 3 agencies per year and it adds up meaningfully over time, * Flexible schedule
Application Question(s):
- (Required) Briefly describe your EMS training experience: who you train (agencies, crews, new hires), in what setting, and how many years you’ve been doing it.
- (Required) Tell us about the community you’ve built through your training years. We’d love to hear about the agencies you’ve taught for, and how you stay in touch with them all.
- What aspects of this role appeal to you most?
