Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Information Technology Project Manager with strong healthcare IT experience, specifically with EPIC Ambulatory implementations. The Senior IT Project Manager will lead complex technology projects, manage project scope, resources, timelines, budgets, and ensure successful delivery of IT initiatives.
This role works closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to plan, execute, monitor, and deliver projects aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have experience managing healthcare information systems projects and working within a structured PMO environment., * Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects following established PMO methodologies and processes.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk assessments, issue logs, and status reports.
- Coordinate project activities across business users, technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
- Monitor project progress and communicate status, milestones, risks, and critical issues to stakeholders.
- Support IT business planning activities including budgeting, scheduling, and workload planning.
- Gather and evaluate user requirements and translate business needs into project solutions.
- Coordinate analysis, design, development, testing, training, and implementation activities.
- Ensure system changes are fully tested and users are prepared for implementation.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior project management team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent relevant experience in an Information Systems environment.
- Senior-level IT Project Management experience.
- Healthcare IT project management experience required.
- EPIC Ambulatory certification and/or hands-on EPIC Ambulatory project experience required.
- Experience managing complex application/system implementations.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle methodologies.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple large projects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills., * PMP certification preferred.
- EPIC Ambulatory certification preferred.
- Experience working in a healthcare PMO environment.
- Experience leading enterprise-level clinical application projects., * Do you have experience managing EPIC Ambulatory projects or implementations?
- Do you have experience leading end-to-end IT projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, testing, training, and implementation?
- Describe your experience working within a PMO environment and using formal project management methodologies.
