Job description

eWaste ePlanet is hiring an IT Hardware Associate to join our team. This is an entry-level position and the starting point for all employees in both our warehouse and hardware technician teams.

Every team member-regardless of their long-term role-begins in this position to learn our processes, standards, and workflows. From there, employees are evaluated based on performance, attention to detail, and overall fit, and are developed into more specialized roles within the company.

You will begin by working hands-on with IT equipment-disassembling computers and performing basic hardware checks-while gaining exposure to receiving, sorting, testing, and resale operations.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in IT hardware, warehouse operations, or technical processing.

Duties

  • Perform computer disassembly of desktops, servers, and other IT equipment
  • Conduct basic hardware testing (power-on checks, visual inspection)
  • Sort components into proper categories for reuse, resale, or recycling
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety, data security, and compliance
  • Assist with receiving, unloading, and staging incoming equipment
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Support general business operations as needed

Requirements
