Cerner Application Configuration Access Protocols Application Testing Routing Software Engineering

Job description

Innovien is supporting a clinical systems modernization program within a major national healthcare network. We’re hiring a Senior Cerner Application Analyst - Chemistry to lead the application build behind a high-priority Chemistry workflow update tied to new internal lab equipment. The first go-live wave is on a tight timeline - this is heads-down, high-accountability Cerner build work with real operational impact across a large hospital network.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze current Chemistry workflow configurations in Cerner, identify what needs to change for new equipment, and rebuild it accurately
  • Build and configure order sets, routing logic, reference ranges, collections, result workflows, and test catalog updates in Cerner ahead of each site go-live
  • Validate that orders, results, and charges are working correctly with the new equipment before each site goes live
  • Partner with lab business partners to confirm workflow requirements, walk through design decisions, and resolve issues before they become go-live problems
  • Track and manage build progress across multiple hospital sites and rollout waves, flagging risks or delays to the project team
  • Test every build change, document decisions, and communicate status to IT project leadership and facility teams

Requirements

Do you have experience in Testing (project management phases)?, * 5+ years of hands-on Cerner Lab application build and configuration experience

  • Strong Chemistry and/or General Lab build experience inside the EHR, including orders, routing, collections, reference ranges, result workflows, test catalog updates, and charge-related setup
  • Experience assessing Chemistry workflow configurations for analyzer/equipment replacements and translating those needs into accurate Cerner build and validation
  • Ability to support multiple hospital sites and project waves simultaneously, with willingness to cross-train and jump into other Cerner Lab workstreams
  • Strong communication skills; able to work directly with lab business partners and support testing, validation, and issue resolution
  • U.S. citizenship required

Nice to Have

  • Broader Cerner Lab build experience across Blood Bank, Microbiology, Hematology, or Anatomic Pathology
  • Oracle Health or Cerner consulting work history (Senior Consultant - Lab, Consultant - Lab, or Cerner Lab Consultant titles), * Cerner: 3 years (Required)
  • Application development: 1 year (Required)
  • Cerner application build: 3 years (Required)
  • Cerner application configuration: 3 years (Required)
  • Cerner application testing: 2 years (Required)
