Tom Palczewski

Tom Palczewski is a Tech Lead, Expert AI/ML Applied Scientist - Generative AI at SAP, where he works on Foundational Models for structured data and knowledge graphs. Previously, he was a Staff Machine Learning Engineer 2 and Staff Data Scientist at Samsung Research America, where he applied his knowledge and skills in generative AI, recommender systems, and data engineering to create novel solutions for Samsung's products and services. He has over 10 years of experience in research and development of data-driven models at scale, spanning modeling on structured-data, graphs, development of custom computer vision, and natural language processing solutions. He has worked and collaborated with prestigious institutions such as CERN, J-PARC, the University of Alabama, LBNL, and UC Berkeley. He is also an author of multiple publications (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=v5PUqKkAAAAJ&hl=en) and patents, a recipient of the Antarctica Service Medal. He is passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI and making an impact on the world. Tom holds a PhD in Physics from the National Centre for Nuclear Research and an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology. In parallel to his studies in Physics, he has finished PhD studies in Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics (abd).
