Getting To Berlin

Plan Your Trip To Berlin.

However you're getting in — by plane, train, or road — here's the rundown on traveling to Berlin for the event, plus a handful of partner deals that can take the edge off your fare.

Plan Your Trip

When To Fly In, When To Fly Home.

Before you book a fare, here's the travel window that actually fits the event. Two arrival options work, depending on whether you want the warm-up day.

  • Land in Berlin by Tuesday evening, 7 Jul if you want Day 0 — the warm-up day, with workshops, masterclasses and satellite events around the city. If you're skipping the warm-up day, Wednesday evening, 8 Jul is enough — the main stage opens Thursday morning.

  • Don't book a return flight before late Friday evening, 10 Jul, or, more comfortably, Saturday morning, 11 Jul. The closing keynote runs into Friday evening, and Thursday's official party runs into the night.

  • Skip Day 0 and you'll miss the workshops, masterclasses and satellite meetups — but the keynotes, tracks, expo, CODE100 and the official party are all on Thursday and Friday.

By Air

Flying In Via BER.

Berlin's international airport is Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), southeast of the city. Trains run from the station beneath the terminal straight into central Berlin — see the airport site for the current timetable, fares, and onward connections.

By Rail

Take The Train.

Berlin Hauptbahnhof has direct connections from across Germany and a growing list of nearby cities. If you're coming from somewhere within a few hours of Berlin, the train often beats the airport on door-to-door time — and on emissions. Plan your route and book on the Deutsche Bahn site.

By Bus & Road

Coming By Bus Or Car.

Long-distance coaches arrive at Berlin's Central Bus Station (ZOB), a short hop from the city center on public transport. If you're driving in, set your sat-nav for the venue and plan parking with your hotel ahead of time.
