IT Workshop Technician

Reporting to the IT Team Leader, the role involves regular repairs and maintenance of a wide range of IT systems. The IT Workshop Technician will also be responsible for configuring Cisco networking equipment, conducting research and development into new technologies, and carrying out new installations. This experience will provide the successful candidate with a broad set of IT skills to progress within the IT department.

Main tasks

• Manage and audit in & out stock flow
• Workstation/EPOS/Handheld/Printer/RPI/Cisco staging
• Prepare hardware and organize transport
• Install, repair, and maintain hardware at Head Office, Warehouse, and remote sites
• Assist the Helpdesk with hardware troubleshooting

• Advanced knowledge and experience in IT hardware
• Good understanding of Microsoft operating systems, applications, and admin tools
• Basic understanding of Linux
• Basic MS SQL and Oracle querying skills are an asset
• Basic understanding of networking

Hardware skills

• Strong knowledge of computer and printer hardware
• Troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Configuration and small repairs of various hardware (workstations, printers, handhelds)
• Raspberry Pi configuration

• Excellent language skills in English and French, with basic Dutch knowledge
• Strong interest in computing
• Able to work independently or within a team without direct supervision
• Organised with strong deadline management
• Diligent and detail-oriented
• Hands-on, autonomous, and proactive
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including by phone
• Self-confident, reliable, and trustworthy
• Driving licence (B) is not essential but is an advantage

• Gross monthly salary: €2,000.00
• Net flat-rate expense allowance: €100.00

Schedule

• 5 days/week
• 36 hours/week
• Week 1: Monday to Friday
• Week 2: Monday to Saturday, with one rotating day off during the week
