Solution Architect - Permanent

This is a remote-first role, open to candidates based anywhere in Italy.

What You'll Do Lead solution design for new features and system improvements. Drive architecture reviews and propose scalable, high-performing solutions. Build and validate prototypes and POCs. Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks. Document and communicate system architecture clearly to engineers and stakeholders. Ensure alignment between architecture, engineering, and product roadmaps. Support development teams in implementing cloud-native and microservices-based solutions. Collaborate with the CTO on mission-critical architecture and delivery milestones.

Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Master's degree?, Must-Haves BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3-5 years of experience as a software engineer or architect. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred). Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture. Proficiency in Java 11+, Spring Boot (v2+), and at least one additional language. Solid grasp of Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with Pub/Sub or Kafka. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). Understanding of MVC and software design patterns. Resident in Italy Fluency in English & Italian

Nice-to-Haves Exposure to full-stack development (Web or Mobile). Experience with API gateways (Apigee, KongHQ, Broadcom). Familiarity with Elasticsearch and data storage solutions. Experience with TDD and automated testing frameworks. Understanding of cloud networking, security, and privacy best practices. Knowledge of banking or financial services, especially in the Italian market.
