Job description

Architecture & Design

  • Define and maintain the SAP technical architecture roadmap across S/4HANA, BTP, and integrated systems.

  • Ensure alignment with SAP's Clean Core principles and Vodafone's enterprise architecture standards. o Lead technical design sessions and provide guidance on best practices for custom code remediation and modernization.

  • Evaluation of solution considerations, constraints, and risks across SAP technology components.

  • Design and review SAP technical solution architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT strategies. o Key solutions design/redesign provided so far:

  • Strategic Archiving Solution - Re-architect target-state architecture resulting in projected EUR 6 million savings by 2030

  • SAP RISE Logserv Integration with Dynatrace - Led the technical architectural assessment and authored the end-to-end solution.

  • SAP Technology Roadmap & Adoption Guidance

  • Define target-state architecture and incremental adoption strategy for SAP technology

  • Evaluate technology options (on-premises, hybrid, cloudnative) against business needs, compliance, and scalability. o Deliver architectural blueprints and implementation roadmaps

  • SAP Licensing Strategy & Cost Optimization

  • Review SAP software licensing models o Identify cost reduction opportunities by Proposing technical alternatives to reduce licensing footprint (e.g. archiving strategies, infrastructure rationalization). *

Transformation Support

  • SAP Rise Transformation
  • Support the SAP Transformation Lead to assess current systems and identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and innovation.
  • Support migration strategies including ECC to S/4HANA, cloud adoption, and integration with SAP BTP services.
  • Technical Assessments, POCs & Architecture Governance
  • Leading on assessments and proofs of concept (POCs) to validate technical feasibility and business fit:

Governance & Compliance

  • Establish technical governance frameworks for SAP developments, integrations, and extensions. o Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and performance standards.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, and external partners (e.g., SAP, system integrators).
  • Mentor technical teams and contribute to capability building within the SAP CoE.

Innovation & Optimization

  • Evaluate emerging SAP technologies (e.g., AI, ML, RPA within BTP) for potential adoption.
  • Drive continuous improvement in system performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency

Requirements

Do you have experience in Scalability?, * Proven experience as an SAP Technical Architect in large-scale transformation programs.

  • Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Fiori, and integration technologies (e.g., PI/PO, CPI).
  • SAP RISE experience
  • Experience with SAP Clean Core strategy, custom code analysis, and modernization.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. o SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) are a plus
  • Advanced level of English
