As a Solution Engineer at Ingenico, you will play a critical role throughout the customer journey-from early conversations and technical scoping to solution design and roadmap planning. Working closely with Sales and cross-functional technical teams, you'll translate customer needs into robust architectures, validate feasibility, and help shape successful delivery.
You will act as both a trusted technical advisor and the voice of the customer, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment from first engagement through to project handover.
What You'll Do
Solution Design & Scoping

Support solution design, technical scoping, and feasibility assessment for strategic opportunities

Lead technical whiteboarding sessions with customers to gather and refine requirements

Validate compatibility with Ingenico platforms, services, APIs, and hardware
Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

Participate in early customer discussions to shape expectations and guide solution direction

Provide technical input for RFPs, proposals, and Statements of Work

Conduct product demos and present solution overviews to customers
Technical Documentation & Architecture

Create integration diagrams, architecture overviews, delivery assumptions, and customer-specific roadmaps

Develop certification roadmaps and support discussions around EMV and compliance

Escalate risks and gaps prior to contract signature to ensure successful delivery outcomes
Internal Collaboration

Work closely with Key Account Managers (KAMs), Global Technology Operations (GTO), and Managed Services teams

Ensure seamless handover to delivery teams with complete documentation and context

Support Got-To-Market (GTM) teams in identifying early adopters for new products and releases
Requirements
Do you have experience in Pre-sales?, * Strong understanding of payment solutions architecture, including hardware, software, APIs, and integrations

Ability to translate business needs into clear technical specifications

Excellent collaboration and communication skills across commercial and technical stakeholders

Experience in pre-sales engineering, technical consulting, or scoping customer solutions

Highly organized, customer-oriented, and detail-driven

Language skills: French and English business fluent
Preferred

Experience working with payment terminals, POS systems, gateways, or fintech platforms

Familiarity with EMV, L2/L3 certification, PCI, or other payment compliance frameworks

Comfortable drafting architecture diagrams or integration documentation

Knowledge of Android-based payment devices or embedded systems
-
German or language skills considered a strong plus
