Job description
- Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements:
- Tests and integrates new and/or updated complex software functionality:
- Analyses test requirements and designs the corresponding test products (. environment set-up, test scenarios, test scripts, test tools, …).
- Drafts, revises and approves test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and IT strategy
- Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow
- Either implements or supervises the implementation of these test products (. writes test scripts)
- Either conducts or supervises the execution of the tests and the evaluation of the test results
- Provides support to the Feature Delivery Owner or Test Team Leader on the overall project testing guidance and planning.
- Coordinates with users to plan user acceptance testing
- Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved
- Contributes to or manages the deployment preparation and execution for both Pre-Production and Production until the end of the warranty period Work is not closely supervised but is governed by standardized procedures that permit the use of initiatives.
Requirements
- An experienced tester in charge of autonomously testing and integrating new and/or updated complex software functionality, who is expected to be familiar with relevant testing tools, technologies and processes and to have or rapidly acquire good understanding of the applications/systems being tested.
