Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key leadership role in a major international project, ensuring the seamless control, coordination, and delivery of critical engineering documentation., * Lead and oversee all project document management activities, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Develop and implement Document Management Plans, procedures, and work instructions.
- Manage documentation workflows between engineering, suppliers, and project teams.
- Supervise document control staff and coordinate activities across multiple offices.
- Establish and maintain Supplier and Engineering Document Management processes.
- Operate and maintain document management systems (such as Documentum, IPMS, or similar).
- Produce and maintain the Master Document Register, Distribution Matrix, and Supplier SDRLs/SDLs.
- Report on document status, progress, and KPIs.
- Liaise with project management, clients, and subcontractors to ensure data accuracy and timely document delivery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across document control processes and systems.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Document Control / Document Management within the engineering industry, the Oil and Gas sector in particular.
- Proven Supplier Document Management experience on large engineering or EPC projects.
- Strong working knowledge of electronic document management systems (such as Documentum, IPMS, Aconex, or SharePoint).
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Eligible to work in the UK and available for full-time, office-based work in Leatherhead.
