Job description
The company are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of IT to lead a transformative journey within a fast-paced waste management business. Following the departure of a long-serving predecessor, this is a rare opportunity to reshape the IT function, drive innovation, and win the hearts and minds of a workforce ready for change.
You'll be responsible for managing a team of six, overseeing support, development, and programme delivery, while spearheading the implementation of Salesforce and Continia ERP. The business is at a critical inflection point, and your leadership will be key to shifting perceptions and unlocking the full potential of technology across the organisation., * Lead and inspire a team of developers, support engineers, and project managers / program leads within the IT function
- Oversee the implementation and optimisation of Salesforce and Continia ERP
- Champion cyber security best practices across the organisation
- Manage IT projects and change initiatives from concept to completion
- Build trust and engagement with depot staff and stakeholders across 24 locations
- Drive cultural change and challenge the status quo within the business
- Represent IT at senior leadership level, with a clear path to board membership
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT leadership, ideally within fast-paced or operational environments
- Strong background in cyber security, systems implementation, and change management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ambitious, smart, and people-oriented - someone who thrives on building relationships
- A strategic thinker with the courage to challenge legacy systems and mindsets
- Willingness to travel across depots and engage directly with frontline teams
