Job description

We're looking for an experienced IT Team Lead to oversee our UK technical team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day delivery of IT support and managed services. You'll be both hands-on technically and responsible for mentoring and managing a small team of engineers, driving performance, documentation standards, and client satisfaction., * Lead and support a team of 1st-3rd line engineers, providing guidance and escalation support.

  • Ensure timely resolution of client issues via our helpdesk system and uphold SLA commitments.
  • Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, and ticket prioritisation.
  • Drive best practices in documentation, troubleshooting, and communication.
  • Provide mentorship and ongoing technical development for team members.
  • Collaborate with management to improve operational efficiency and client service quality.
  • Participate in client meetings where needed to discuss performance, projects, or escalations.
  • Maintain hands-on involvement in complex technical issues and project delivery.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microsoft Windows Server?, * Proven experience within an MSP or fast-paced IT support environment.

  • Strong technical background in Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, and remote support tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
  • Able to balance team leadership with hands-on technical work.
  • Organised, dependable, and focused on client experience and service quality.
  • Experience with Autotask PSA or similar ticketing platforms.
  • Exposure to cloud and cybersecurity solutions (Azure AD, Intune, endpoint security, etc.).
  • Relevant industry certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL)., * Managing an IT Team: 3 years (preferred)
  • Autotask - Ticketing PSA: 3 years (preferred)
  • Managed Service Provider (MSP): 3 years (required)
