IT Support Engineer

You'll be responsible for keeping college IT systems running smoothly while supporting the team through Cyber Essentials certification.

• £15 per hour
• Full-time temporary position: Monday, 10 November - December
• Provide second- and third-line IT support to staff and students, keeping everyone working without interruptions
• Administer, maintain, and enhance IT systems under guidance from the Head of ICT, helping the college stay ahead of the curve
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues - a chance to solve problems and make an impact every day
• Install, configure, and upgrade systems to meet current requirements, ensuring tech is reliable and secure
• Monitor IT systems to maximise availability and suggest improvements to infrastructure and processes
• Keep systems secure with timely updates, backups, and adherence to best practices in cybersecurity

Do you have experience in IT?, * Level 4 or Level 5 IT or related qualification

• Microsoft Certified Professional or ITIL certification (desirable, but not essential)
• Enhanced DBS required
• Up-to-date knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity, and best practice maintenance
• A problem-solver who enjoys making IT simple for others
