Job description
You will take a lead role in developing and delivering the communications and engagement strategy for the Living Well initiative. The work spans media relations, digital communications, marketing campaigns, design, website management, consultation activities, and cross-sector partnership working. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality content, coordinating behavior-change messaging, and ensuring communications align with broader public health goals., * Lead external communications and engagement activities across local, regional, and national partners.
- Build networks with communications teams across organizations to coordinate aligned messaging.
- Design all artwork and campaign materials using Adobe Creative Suite for print and digital platforms, including social media, newsletters, and website content.
- Create infographics, support the development of film and animation storyboards, and oversee external creative outputs.
- Manage all Living Well social media channels, including out-of-hours monitoring and responses.
- Produce monthly analytics reports for website, email campaigns, and social media.
- Develop integrated communications and marketing plans for all Living Well projects, coordinating with NHS and community partners.
- Plan and deliver proactive and reactive media relations and PR activity.
- Lead consultation and engagement strategies to support behavior-change objectives.
- Manage the Living Well website, including all content updates, navigation, and future development.
- Coordinate communications-related project activities and events from concept to completion.
- Work independently in a fast-moving environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Provide expert advice to senior leaders and elected members on communications strategy and issues.
- Uphold all equality, dignity, and safety standards in line with organizational policy.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Media relations?, This role requires a creative, proactive communicator who can manage multiple projects, work to tight deadlines, and collaborate with partners across the health, voluntary, public, and community sectors., * Able to communicate fluently and confidently in English in public-facing settings.
- Strong ability to create targeted communications plans and deliver them within budget and deadlines.
- Clear understanding of how marketing, media, digital platforms, and engagement techniques work together.
- Skilled in producing content across websites, intranets, social media, and e-marketing channels.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly in plain English.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
- Understanding of reputation management and media relations.
- Able to interpret and communicate information accurately.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in communications and service delivery.
Experience Required
- At least 3 years of experience in a marketing or communications role.
- High-level proficiency in Mac and PC systems, including Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience advising stakeholders on communications strategy.
- Experience delivering integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team and cross-functional projects., * Degree, HND, or equivalent in marketing, media, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a communications or related role within the public or private sector., * marketing or communications: 3 years (required)
