Job description

This post will be part of a small team providing skilled and efficient support for desktop hardware and systems throughout West Suffolk Council and its Partners. Your main role will be to provide first line support to our users within West Suffolk either through remote support or site visits.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software troubleshooting?, You will need experience of using Microsoft operating systems and office applications and have good analytical and organisational skills. Effective communication skills are also essential, together with a strong customer focused approach and the ability to prioritize a busy work load and work as part of a team.

  • A good technical knowledge of desktop hardware environments and associated software and peripherals.
  • Some Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
  • A basic working technical knowledge of current IT protocols, operating systems, and standards.
