Job description
An on-site IT Support Engineer is required to support a 60-70 user environment covering hardware, software, applications and basic networking. This role is the sole IT presence on-site, working closely with a remote Infrastructure team for escalations.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide 1st/2nd line support for laptops, desktops, Windows 10/11, O365, Teams
- Manage incidents and service requests through the ticketing system
- Support onboarding/offboarding, account setup and device deployment
- Troubleshoot label printers, scanners, WiFi, Routers and network points
- Install, configure and decommission end-user devices
- Perform basic network patching and connectivity troubleshooting
- Hardware repair support, data migration and vendor coordination
- Maintain inventory and stock of IT equipment
- Assist global IT teams with hands-and-feet tasks
- Create/update end-user knowledge base articles
- Proactively engage with users across the site
Requirements
- Proven background as an IT Support Engineer/Desktop Support Engineer/IT Support Analyst
- Able to operate independently as the sole on-site engineer
- Strong knowledge of Windows, O365, Teams and enterprise applications
- Confident troubleshooting hardware and basic networking issues
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
