Job description

An on-site IT Support Engineer is required to support a 60-70 user environment covering hardware, software, applications and basic networking. This role is the sole IT presence on-site, working closely with a remote Infrastructure team for escalations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st/2nd line support for laptops, desktops, Windows 10/11, O365, Teams
  • Manage incidents and service requests through the ticketing system
  • Support onboarding/offboarding, account setup and device deployment
  • Troubleshoot label printers, scanners, WiFi, Routers and network points
  • Install, configure and decommission end-user devices
  • Perform basic network patching and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Hardware repair support, data migration and vendor coordination
  • Maintain inventory and stock of IT equipment
  • Assist global IT teams with hands-and-feet tasks
  • Create/update end-user knowledge base articles
  • Proactively engage with users across the site

Requirements

  • Proven background as an IT Support Engineer/Desktop Support Engineer/IT Support Analyst
  • Able to operate independently as the sole on-site engineer
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, O365, Teams and enterprise applications
  • Confident troubleshooting hardware and basic networking issues
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
