Job description

The goal of this position is to research techniques to control and optimize how the different tasks of autonomous system frameworks execute in the context of high-performance devices with middlewares like ROS, ROS2 or CyberRT, considering appropriate metrics, platform configuration, task scheduling, and validation activities whenever appropriate.

This work will be performed as part of a team with skilled postdocs, engineers and students experienced with the software environment, and hence, providing support to the PhD student hired for this position.

About the company

The High-Performance Embedded Systems (HPES) Laboratory at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center aims at carrying out research on bringing HPC technologies to systems with some form of criticality, namely safety, mission and security. This includes domains such as automotive, space, avionics, robotics, manufacturing, etc. Our work is mainly done in the context of bilateral projects with several EU companies as well as several European-funded projects.
