Job description
Innovation and technology are at the forefront of our minds at H&H. This is an interesting opportunity to work within a small team alongside the Software Analyst and Developer and work in a collaborative setting to deliver software projects to the firm's end users. You will help drive efficiencies and deliver user friendly applications to Lawyers and support staff.
You will be involved at all stages of projects including gathering requirements, designing the solution, designing screens and reports, coding scripts and documents in line with the firm's style and branding. You will also be involved in the production of documentation and training materials, along with supporting users during and after go-live.
Whilst this role is mainly based in our Halstead office, you will need to be able to get to the firm's 6 other offices so we would recommend driving.
- Please note this is an office-based role Monday to Friday in out Halsted office.
The Day to Day:
- Coding application documents to autofill from database.
- Checking daily automated processes have completed without issue.
- Testing any new scripts or workflows created.
- Assist with development of scripts and workflows.
- Producing technical documentation including Visio workflow drawings, technical descriptions and release notes.
- Producing end-user documentation, videos or other training materials.
- Handling helpdesk requests.
- Training end-users in-person, via webinar or by producing video guides.
- Work with vendors to resolve system issues.
- Other Ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
You should have previous experience working in a software development environment and understand the development cycle. An understanding of legal case-management or other business systems would be advantageous. Knowledge of development using Python, Microsoft Power Platform, Visual C# and JSON are desirable.

Ability to present information to technical and non-technical persons, both across the firm and with outside vendors as required. Confident to escalate issues to senior IT team members.
Team Working: Ability to work well both as part of a team and independently.
