Job description

As a Systems Specialist, you'll play a key role in optimising terminal operations and supporting critical business systems. Working closely with operational teams and IT specialists, you will:

  • Gather user requirements and translate them into system specifications.
  • Configure and implement applications for container terminal equipment.
  • Provide daily operational support for Terminal Operating Systems (TOS), including proactive maintenance.
  • Deliver training to system users across the business.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance trends and implement improvements.
  • Act as 1st and 2nd line support for TOS-related issues.

Requirements

I am looking to recruit a skilled Systems Specialist to join a global leader in the trade/logistics space based across the UK. You'll be working for a business that expedites and simplifies the import/export process through innovative technology solutions. Due to multiple recent acquisitions, the environment is ripe for integrations and digital transformation. This role is a hybrid role, looking at around 3 days a week, so you will need to be located locally., * Experience in Port Operations, Logistics, or Distribution.

  • Familiarity with terminal operating systems such as Zodiac or Navis (desirable).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert operational requirements into clear processes.
  • Experience in Business Process Modelling and project coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Practical experience managing complex system projects, including go-lives and frontline support.
