Job description

We're seeking a Workday Implementation Consultant to join the team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is critical in ensuring smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll operations during a period of transition. You will play a key part in supporting process improvements and aligning payroll practices across the organization., * Deliver a complete, accurate, and timely payroll service to the business.

  • Support payroll through system transition and organizational alignment, contributing to project and change initiatives.
  • Partner with site teams to gather insights, identify challenges, and implement solutions that streamline and automate processes.
  • Develop clear process documentation in collaboration with payroll and business analysis teams.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) alongside the BAU payroll team.
  • Provide training to payroll staff on updated processes and new ways of working.
  • Support testing phases and parallel payroll runs to ensure successful implementation.

Requirements

  • Recognized payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent) or substantial relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK payroll and pension legislation, with a strong focus on compliance and governance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and organizational awareness.
  • Strong communication abilities to build effective, collaborative relationships.
  • Advanced IT and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in payroll transition projects and system migrations.
  • Familiarity with Workday Payroll and payroll project management.
  • Proven track record in payroll reconciliations.
