Data Centre Engineer (SC) - Berkshire - Contract - £350.00 per day
Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Data Centre Engineer to work at a leading consultancy client of ours on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will provide a high level of support to the running of a large data centre and will ensure that services are fully operational and are protected and secure.
Responsibilities include:

Manage data centre capacity, including airflow and power analysis, and identifies and implements efficiency improvements where required.

Conducting regular IT asset audits to uphold data accuracy and compliance.

Delivering data centre inductions and maintaining access records to meet safety requirements.

Validating technical designs to ensure safe housing and supportability.

Providing general technical expertise to all parties operating within the data centre estate.
Experience required:

A strong background in providing technical support within a Datacentre environment
-
Strong experience of installing and de-installing IT equipment in data centres.

A good working knowledge of all aspects of IT infrastructure, including networks, storage and security.

In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems supporting data centres, such as generators, UPS, and cooling systems.

Strong abilities with Datacentre cabling, installation, racking and network configuration.

ITIL service management knowledge and the ability to work to required SLA's

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Flexibility around working hours and ability to work on a rota basis including out of hours work

Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
