Backend Team Lead (Ruby) - remote friendly

As a Backend Team Lead, you will craft polished user experiences, highly scalable APIs, and robust banking services to help businesses thrive. You will be part of a team of 180+ back-end engineers across Europe and contribute directly to product growth. Key responsibilities Drive a team

• Manage a team of 4-6 Backend Engineers.
• Provide regular feedback through 1-on-1s and half-yearly reviews.
• Mentor, pair, and delegate to foster growth.
• Build a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
• Conduct interviews to hire new team members.

Drive the delivery

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design leads to define vision and strategy.
• Ensure delivery meets business objectives.
• Establish best engineering practices for high quality.

Be hands-on

• Design, build, test, document, run, review, and maintain Ruby code.
• Maintain quality through testing, documentation, pairing, and learning.
• Help scale the backend codebase while preserving engineering culture.
• Support critical services used by tens of thousands daily.
