A more detailed specification will be made available in due course, but at this stage we are seeking contractors able to demonstrate strong, hands-on experience across the following areas

Requirements

  • Proven expertise with HPE Aruba switching and Wi-Fi technologies
  • Ability to read, interpret and work confidently with HPE Aruba switch text configurations
  • Experience with HPE Intelligent Management Center and Aruba Central
  • Strong working knowledge of Cisco ISR routers, including command-line configuration and configuration interpretation
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki (MX firewalls, switching, and Wi-Fi)
  • Comfortable working in and around comms cabinets and server rooms
  • Solid understanding of internet access technologies such as FTTP, SoGEA and Fibre Ethernet

Ways of Working/Professional Competencies

  • Methodical, structured approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Ability to produce clear, high-quality documentation within systems such as Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, and other wikis
  • Competent in following established procedures and playbooks, as well as developing or refining them for broader engineering use

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to Cisco SD-WAN solutions
  • Experience working with MPLS networks, ideally with a major UK provider

Working Model

  • Primarily remote, offering flexibility and focus for delivery
  • Occasional on-site presence for meetings, design workshops or technical reviews
  • Targeted travel to regional branch locations to support field engineers with supervision, complex diagnostics or deeper fault analysis
