Job description
- Deliver first and second-line support across Microsoft-based infrastructure and services.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents affecting servers, virtual environments, and core business applications.
- Monitor system health and performance to ensure maximum uptime and fast incident response.
- Support and maintain environments hosting high-traffic web and e-commerce systems.
- Administer and configure Windows Server, IIS, and Network Load Balancing (NLB) components.
- Manage and maintain virtualized platforms (VMware and Hyper-V).
- Participate in a 4-on / 4-off shift rotation, including both day and night shifts.
- Provide on-call support (approximately 25% of the time) for production emergencies.
- Collaborate with other engineers to enhance system reliability, security, and performance.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational runbooks.
Requirements
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on technical position, enjoys problem-solving in real time, and wants to play a key role in supporting complex, high-availability infrastructure., * Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), IIS, and NLB.
- Proficient in VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V administration.
- Experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
- Understanding of e-commerce or high-traffic web environments with thousands of concurrent users.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and quickly adapt to new technologies.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, monitoring tools, and incident management processes is an advantage.
