Information Technology Specialist

MK Recruit is delighted to be supporting our client, a niche manufacturer in North Lanarkshire, who are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to join their team.

The IT Specialist will support and maintain the company's IT infrastructure across office and production environments, working alongside the existing IT Specialist to manage servers, networks, end-user devices and business applications.

The role involves day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, administering Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, DNS/DHCP, switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and overseeing patch management and vulnerability remediation.

A strong focus on cyber security is essential, along with solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a hands-on technical role.

Experience with Linux, antivirus technologies, VoIP, backups and in-house or third-party software is advantageous.

Candidates must have at least five years' experience in a similar factory environment and must already have full Right to Work in the UK, as we are unable to consider overseas applicants or provide visa sponsorship.
