Job description
Responsibilities:* Draft functional specifications, technical documentation, and test scenarios for land-based simulation systems. * Build and integrate simulation setups that emulate automation, power, and mission-related ship systems. * Establish and operate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches and similar environments to aid validation and training. * Create and maintain comprehensive validation procedures and test plans, ensuring adherence to classification standards and project demands. * Collaborate closely with engineering teams and subcontractors to align simulation requirements with actual system architect. * Assess supplier deliverables for simulation interfaces and incorporate them into the broader test setup. * Provide technical support during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Harbor Acceptance Tests (HAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT). * Contribute to the evolution of best practices and standards for simulation and validation in future naval projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technical Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum of two years' experience in designing, integrating, or configuring simulation and testing environments, preferably within a maritime or similar technical domain. * Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems, signal interfacing, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. * Background in multidisciplinary engineering projects involving multiple suppliers and stakeholders. * Understanding of system modeling, control logic, or tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, TwinCAT, or LabVIEW is considered an advantage. * Strong references are required, as candidates must undergo a security clearance procedure. * Applicants must hold permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport. Candidates with only a work visa or non-EU nationality cannot be considered due to the defense-related nature of the projects.
