Job description

Wayman Education is recruiting an IT Technician for a busy school in Haringey. The IT Technician will handle first-line support, manage the school's device fleet, assist with network troubleshooting and support remote-learning setups. The IT Technician will start January 2026, with induction and handover scheduled prior to January 2026 to ensure continuity for Haringey staff and pupils., As IT Technician you will work across the Haringey site responding to tickets, carrying out preventative maintenance, imaging and deploying devices, and maintaining user accounts and permissions. You will support teachers with classroom technology, maintain AV equipment and work with external suppliers where specialist repairs are required. The IT Technician will help keep the Haringey school secure by following patching schedules and supporting safeguarding-compliant configurations., * Respond to helpdesk tickets, diagnose faults and resolve hardware/software issues promptly.

  • Image, deploy and reclaim laptops/tablets and maintain an accurate asset register.
  • Assist with network checks, Wi-Fi troubleshooting and liaison with third-party providers.
  • Support classroom set-ups, AV equipment and staff training on digital tools across Haringey.
  • Maintain software updates, antivirus measures and assist with data-backup procedures.

Requirements
