Job Description:
At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Oracle Database Architect to join our UniQue team.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Advise both the client and development teams on the which architecture to implement and Optimise the overall architecture.
- Provision of technical evaluations and audit reports for databases.
- Reverse engineering of existing databases.
- Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models and databases.
- Data analysis and modelling.
- Database design and implementation.
- Development, maintenance and integration of database components.
- Integration with other databases.
- Elaboration of test programs.
- Writing of technical documentation.
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system.
- Troubleshooting and optimization.
- Resolve complex performance issues.
- Risk analysis.
- Participation in meetings with the project teams.
Requirements:
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Master's degree in IT and minimum 15 years of relevant experience (or Bachelor's in IT and minimum 19 years of experience).
- Experience with Oracle database architecture, including designing, optimizing, and advising on high-performance Oracle database solutions for enterprise environments.
- Experience with Oracle databases (preferably 12c), including complex schema architecture, query optimization, and performance monitoring.
- Experience in data modelling and database design tools (e.g., SQL Developer Data Modeler,)
- Experience with Oracle development tools (e.g., Oracle SQL Developer, PL/SQL development) and Oracle Recovery Manager.
- Experience with ETL design, integration tools, and cloud-native data solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud Spanner).
- Experience of database security and database development best practices.
- Experience of database release management.
- Experience working within Agile methodology.
- Experience of master data management.
- Experience of unit testing.
- Experience of non-relational databases would be considered an asset.
- Experience working with virtualization technologies such as VMware would be an advantage.
- At least one certification in cloud technologies or data management is mandatory.
- Proficiency in English language at a minimum B2 level.
