Job description
As Global Head of Data & Digital Transformation within our Vaccine R&D team, you'll architect and drive an ambitious digital and AI strategy that accelerates vaccine development and transforms how our scientists work. As a key strategic advisor to senior leadership, you will shape the future direction of digital capabilities in collaboration with Digital R&D and Global RD, ensuring alignment with Sanofi's long-term business objectives. Lead a global team of 20 Data Catalysts embedded across Vaccine R&D sites, driving digital transformation for labs while maintaining business continuity in critical laboratory operations (GMP, GClP)

Oversee deployment of innovative Digital, Data, and AI solutions through the Lab Digital Product team, ensuring right-first-time design for Vaccine R&D functions

Manage a strategic portfolio of digital initiatives (~€10M annual budget) with clear prioritization frameworks aligned to business value and ROI

Serve as primary interface between Vaccine R&D and enterprise Digital/IT functions, representing Vaccine R&D in governance forums and securing investment for transformative initiatives

Drive cultural transformation and capability building to create a digitally-fluent scientific workforce through training pathways and development opportunities

Establish robust data governance standards and promote data culture across the value chain, enabling seamless data flow from Research to Clinical
Requirements

Scientific Foundation: PhD or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline, with demonstrated understanding of vaccine development and laboratory operations

Digital Leadership: Substantial experience implementing Digital, Data, and AI solutions in scientific or healthcare environments, with proven ability to develop and execute transformational strategies

Executive Presence: Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to influence C-suite leadership, serving as a trusted advisor on digital transformation

Change Leadership: Outstanding ability to lead through influence rather than authority, with track record of building high-performing teams and driving change across complex organizations

Business Acumen: Strong understanding of how digital initiatives drive business value in R&D contexts, with ability to articulate ROI and demonstrate measurable impact to senior stakeholders
