Job description
As a Requirements Engineer Mobile, you act as the key link between business and IT. You work closely with colleagues to further develop and improve mobile applications, always keeping the customer perspective at the center. From office locations in the Netherlands and from home, you contribute to enhancing digital customer journeys within a mobile banking environment. What will you do?
- Analyze, define, and document functional and non-functional requirements for mobile applications.
- Gather input from business stakeholders and translate customer needs into clear epics and user stories.
- Focus on improving customer experience, including online services related to savings and investments.
- Work closely with the Business Lead and Engineering Lead to define and maintain a clear roadmap for the customer journey.
- Create detailed functional stories with technical guidance that serve as input for development teams.
- Stay involved throughout the development lifecycle, answering questions, maintaining overview, and ensuring solutions are properly tested.
- Contribute to refinement sessions based on your analyses and requirements.
- Perform impact analyses and propose solution directions that add value for customers and the team.
- Keep application documentation up to date in Confluence.
- Act as a sparring partner for both business and IT, speaking the language of both worlds.
Your team
You will join one of the development teams within Team Mobile, which is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of a mobile banking app used daily by hundreds of thousands of customers. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and the commercial success of the mobile channel. What do you bring?

Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role (e.g. Requirements Engineer, Business Analyst).
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile / Scrum ways of working.
- Proven experience in gathering requirements across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating and supporting refinement sessions.
- Solid experience writing user stories and defining technical requirements.
- Experience with mobile development environments, enabling you to translate business needs into IT solutions.
- Experience with automated testing and test strategies.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
- Experience with Java and/or Swift is a plus.
