Job description
- It involves data extraction, analysis and modelling across the portfolio of retail products/perils.
- This role involves collaboration with other teams; strong communication skills required.
- The role resides within the technical pricing and underwriting team and wider commercial team working alongside retail pricing experts, data science and product deployment.
- As part of pre-deployment analysis, you will support management with the analysis or rate impact calculations. Monitoring rates and determining appropriate action is also necessary.
Requirements
- High quality (2:1 or above) mathematics (data science/Actuarial science also considered)
- Actuarial science background (beneficial - study support provided)
Experience required:
- Pricing analytical skills (essential)
- Personal Lines risk pricing (essential)
- Working knowledge with Akur8/Emblem/similar (highly beneficial * borderline essential)
- Machine Learning/algorithms (beneficial)
- SQL/SAS - data extraction and analytical expert (essential)
- Open-source R/Python coding (highly beneficial)
