Data Engineer

My client is looking for a skilled professional with strong data management and analytical expertise to enhance and support our Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management environment. The successful candidate will bring experience in data flows, integration technologies, and business intelligence tools to deliver seamless data operations and actionable insights that drive business performance. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise SQL-based solutions, including queries, stored procedures, and data models.
• Configure and manage Dataflows (Gen1) to support data transformation and integration.
• Leverage OData endpoints for Dynamics 365 entities to enable secure, efficient data exchange.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy, usability, and business value.
• Partner with functional teams to support Finance & Supply Chain processes and reporting requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve data integration issues across multiple systems.
• Champion compliance with data governance, security, and performance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and optimisation.
• Hands-on experience with Dataflows (Gen1) and OData for Dynamics 365 entities.
• Solid Power BI skills, including DAX and data modelling.
• Practical knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management modules.
• Understanding of data integration best practices and ETL processes.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and standards.
• Exposure to modern data integration tools or cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimisation of reporting solutions
