Job description
Payroll and HRIS Manager, 12-month Fixed Term Contract, £37,000 - £47,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits, London Based with travel to Southwest weekly.
Our client is a well-established business seeking to strengthen its People function during an exciting period of change. The role has arisen as part of a key initiative to enhance their HR systems and ensure payroll processes are robust, accurate, and future-ready. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the way the business manages its people systems.
Reporting into the People Director, this role will lead the transition to a new HR Information System (HRIS), overseeing monthly payroll processing and delivering high-quality people data and insights. You will manage the full lifecycle of the project, from discovery and system assessment through implementation, migration, and embedding the new system, while working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure a seamless transition.
You will be a hands-on, highly organised individual with proven experience in payroll (processing end to end) and HRIS delivery, ideally within a complex operational (ideally manufacturing or similar) environment. You will have strong analytical skills, resilience, and a collaborative approach, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels. Excellent project management experience and the ability to navigate ambiguity are key, along with the flexibility to travel between sites as needed.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a critical people systems project, work within a supportive team, and leave a lasting impact on the organisation. If you are motivated by change, enjoy solving complex challenges, and want to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of HR systems, we would love to hear from you.
