Spire St Anthony's Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Quality & Governance Manager to join their dedicated team. The successful applicant will have a passion for promoting a just culture, patient centre approach and an environment of learning lessons to improve all aspects of the patient journey, staff satisfaction and a collaborative working environment.
This role will work closely with the Director of Clinical Services, Hospital Director, Lead Consultant for Clinical Governance and the MAC Chair in driving clinical excellence, quality and will be the lead for patient safety & risk management., * To work closely with the Director of Clinical Services, Hospital Director, Lead Consultant for Clinical Governance and the MAC Chair in driving clinical excellence, quality and the Clinical Governance Framework within the hospital.
- To take an active role in ensuring compliance with all hospital regulatory requirements and implementation of the Patient Safety and Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).
- Undertake incident analysis and identify barriers to good practice/areas of concern and liaise with Heads of Departments to develop remedial actions and to support in the embedding and maintenance of good practice.
- To display and promote excellent leadership within all teams in all areas of the hospital. To promote excellent customer service throughout the hospital, facilitating and co-ordinating (quality patient experience) initiatives and providing appropriate support to empower colleagues.
- To provide and develop strong relationships with customer groups for all aspects of the role initiating optimal Quality, patient safety and risk standards, managing business objectives, and aspiring to being the leading private healthcare provision within the locality.
- To promote and facilitate effective and timely lines of communication within the teams.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council Registration, Nursing and Midwifery Council license?, Do you have experience in Report writing?, * Registered with NMC or HCPC preferred but not essential
- Non-clinical candidates will be considered if able to show good grounding in governance, quality and risk and experience leading a team
- Previous experience operating at senior level
- Experience of managing clinical audit agenda
- Experience of undertaking idepth incident investigations (PSII)
- Attended and obtained recent PSIRF training advantageous but not essential training can be provided
- Quality Improvement (QI) or Project Management qualification/training desirable training can be provided
- Computer literate with a comprehensive understanding of word and excel and be able to transfer data into charts with Excel and other programmes.
- Good facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Ability and experience of collating data, interpreting data accurately, report writing and minute taking, demonstrating excellent attention to detail
