Job description

Due to continued growth in both product demand and technical capability, this is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a key role in maintaining configuration control and document management across complex aerospace projects and full product lifecycles. This is primarily an office-based role, with some flexibility depending on business needs, and offers the chance to work in a highly collaborative, technically advanced environment. Responsibilities:

  • Own, maintain, and enforce configuration control processes for drawings and technical documentation
  • Support project teams in understanding and applying CADM processes throughout the project lifecycle
  • Track configuration baselines and manage changes to ensure consistency across projects
  • Support and administer formal change control processes
  • Manage the creation, review, approval, release, and archiving of engineering and technical documents
  • Maintain document numbering, revision control, and distribution protocols
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and industry standards (e.g. ISO 9001, AS9100, ECSS-M-ST-40)
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure timely document updates and releases
  • Administer document and configuration management systems (e.g. Windchill, SharePoint)
  • Train users and provide ongoing support for document control and configuration management tools
  • Prepare for and support internal and external audits related to configuration and document control
  • Ensure data integrity, traceability, and audit readiness at all times

Requirements

  • Experience working with configuration and document management (CADM) processes
  • Experience of configuration management within an engineering or technical environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with aerospace or space standards such as ECSS-M-ST-40
  • Experience using Windchill and Microsoft Teams
