Job description
As an IT Hardware Technician, you will primarily work in the Assembly and Test & QC department, where you'll build and test PCs, servers, workstations, switches, and laptops to meet customer specifications and company standards. This fast-paced role requires a strong understanding of IT hardware, excellent communication skills, and keen attention to detail.
Occasionally, you may support other departments to meet business needs, offering variety and opportunities to expand your skills.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assembling computer systems, including workstations and servers
- Installing hardware components (CPUs, RAM, storage, etc.)
- Organising cables for optimal airflow and aesthetics
- Conducting quality control checks to meet company standards
- Test, update, and configure major brand PCs, laptops, servers, and workstations with the latest operating systems and firmware
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and carry out minor repairs
- Stress test components and record data
- Stay updated with the latest hardware trends and technology
- Adhere to workplace safety, including safe handling of equipment and compliance with company policies
- Handle IT equipment (up to 25kg) and work on your feet for extended periods
Requirements
Do you have experience in Computer repair?, Do you have a GCSE?, * Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, or demonstrable experience gained through personal projects, passion, or hobby.

- Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed
- Excellent IT knowledge to board level with a problem-solving mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (required)
Experience:
- Computer hardware: 2 years (preferred)
- Computer repair: 2 years (preferred)

Ribchester, PR3 3XL | Full-Time | £25,396 Per Year (£12.21/hr) + uncapped bonus | Monday to Friday | 08:30 to 17:00, * Salary: £25,396 per year (£12.21/hr) + uncapped incentive bonus
