Job description
- Client consultation: Translate client vision, strategy, and feedback into actionable project plans and Jira tickets. Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders and manage expectations. Represent the client when they are not present.
- Strategic collaboration: Contribute to the development, execution, and refinement of the client data strategies, including facilitation of user interviews, support on data analysis, and development of executive-level strategy materials.
- Technical requirement definition and delivery: Facilitates the definition and delivery of data and digital projects with engineering teams, including structuring and managing project Jiraboards.
- Agile facilitation: Balance long-term project plans and resource allocation with immediate action and reaction. Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Risk management: Foresee risks and challenges by encouraging the team to think long-term and work together to identify and mitigate potential issues. Comfortable with having difficult conversations with client stakeholders to raise risks and provide mitigation solutions.
- New business development: Create compelling and well-crafted proposals in response to client requests. Gather relevant information from our teams to present responses in a format that resonates with clients, ultimately contributing to the successful acquisition of new business.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced consultant to lead a portfolio of key client accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience in a consultancy environment or product teams, with experience across the project lifecycle from developing proposals to responding to new client requests to leading engineers on large-scale data transformation projects. This individual will be comfortable working closely with data engineers, systems architects, and DevOps practitioners to plan, communicate and execute complex project plans.
The ideal candidate will have a natural curiosity and an insatiable drive to get things done, both personally and by enabling others. They will be the catalyst that gets the ball rolling, patiently prodding until tasks are completed. This individual will be capable of engaging both engineers and client stakeholders with candour, understanding, and a knack for making complex concepts accessible. They will be a living example of process improvement, enhancing the workflows they touch by embodying best practices rather than merely directing from the sidelines., * Experience consulting with clients in a technical capacity for digital transformation, data engineering, big data and API build projects in the cloud, ideally in a consultancy setting.
- Broad understanding of data architectures and paradigms such as Data Warehousing, Data Lakes,and Delta Processing etc.
- Understanding of-and willingness to adapt-agile methodologies to the project's needs.
- Definition and writing of effective Jira tickets, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience in developing well-crafted proposals in response to new client requests or formal RFPs
- Familiarity or desire to learn software design patterns and technologies in data engineering and data science.
