Senior Data Engineer

As a Data Support Engineer (Cloud) you spend your time in supporting the product teams in their expressed needs and find ways to make their lives easier in their efforts of developing data pipelines.

Key activities consist of providing consultancy on queries coming in, providing pro active support, find ways to increase the quality of the deliverables, optimizing and automating activities in the ever-changing landscape and make sure the technology stack of the team is fit for the future and aligned with the AF/KL organization.

Do you have experience in Terraform?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Preferably Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other relevant fields (less important in light of work experience)

• At least 4 years of experience building production-grade data processing systems as a Data Engineer
• Demonstrable experience of supporting data engineering teams within an enterprise environment
• Designing Cloud Native data pipelines within an Enterprise environment
• In-depth knowledge of:

• Development on the Google Cloud, with services like o Dataproc o Cloud Run o BigQuery o Dataform

• ETL tooling like Informatica IDMC or similar

• Datawarehousing in cloud and SQL

• FinOps concepts

• Working with GIT & GIThub actions (CI/CD)

• Experience with Terraform Enterprise, Docker, Ansible
• Pro active mindset and intrinsic motivation to elevate the quality of the community through the activities of the team
• Automate flows/pipelines using program languages like Python
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal) in English is needed.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Knowledge of agile methodology is a plus
