Job description
The DC H&F Technician provides onsite, physical support within the data center environment and acts as the "hands and feet" for remote engineering teams. The role is responsible for executing hardware tasks, supporting infrastructure operations, and ensuring timely response to data center activities that require physical presence., A. Hardware Support & Break-Fix
-
Perform server, storage, and network hardware installation, removal, upgrades, and replacements.

Execute break-fix activities as directed by engineering teams.

Assist with OEM/vendor support during onsite diagnostics and repair.
Rack & Stack Activities
-
Physically rack and cable servers, switches, firewalls, and storage arrays.

Ensure structured cabling standards are followed.

Label, document, and maintain cable hygiene.
Physical Checks & Monitoring
-
Perform routine walk-throughs to check environmental conditions.

Check UPS/Power, PDU health indicators, and physical security.
-
Report abnormalities to remote teams.
Support for Critical Operations
- Assist with production host migrations, patching windows, or maintenance events during non-business hours when required.
Inventory & Asset Management

Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and spares.

Track equipment movement, receiving, shipping, and disposal.

Update CMDB/asset database as needed.
Compliance & Documentation

Follow all data center access, safety, and change management policies.

Provide documentation for completed tasks.

Support audits by providing physical verification.
Requirements
Do you have experience in TCP?, Technical Skills:
-
Experience with server, storage, and network hardware.
-
Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, RAID, and cabling types.
infrastructure connections across data/telecom, UNIX, LINUX, and Windows LAN platforms.
Soft Skills:
-
Strong communication with remote teams.
-
Attention to detail and process adherence.
Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to lift 25-30 kg equipment.

Comfortable working in controlled environments.
Experience Requirements
-
2-5 years of experience in data center or infrastructure roles.

Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
Working experience in a large, multi-platform Cisco-based data center using a SAN is highly
desirable.
Additional Expectations

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call rotation.

Strict adherence to customer security requirements.
