Our Workington site is growing! We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician. You will be responsible for quality and technical checks, maintaing quality and technical standards, in line with cusomter requirements and legislation within the factory.

Job Purpose:
As part of the Technical team, you will be required to help provide support across the site to ensure that all stages of manufacture from development, customer acceptance, hygiene, engineering and production are controlled correctly, whilst ensuring compliance to all policies, codes of practice, legislation and work instructions.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
· Ensuring that all Food safety, GMP, G&HP, Microbiological and QC checks are being carried out on and off line as specified in work instructions, HACCP and process control documents
· Conducting GMP audits, hygiene audits, checking and filing documentation, allergen clearance, Glass & Hard plastic audits, taste panel assessments, training.
· Conducting calibration checks.
· Quality attributre assessments (taste panels) on finished product to define qaulity attributes.
· Act as site auditor reviewing document logs, correct versions of controlled documents are in place across the site.
· Assist in all root cause investigations towards resolving customer and consumer complaints
· Understanding HACCP and playing an active part in ensuring the sites HACCP program is running smoothly.
· Help ensure all staff are aware of the importance of following Food Safety and Quality Systems.
· Completion of raw material and packaging intake quality assessments.
· Ensuring all traceability documentation is completed correctly.
· Have a priority role in the success in driving the BRCGS Food Safety Audit, and all other site customer audits and visits to the site.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate certification?, Do you have experience in Root cause analysis?, Previous experiance of FMCG manufacturing is advatageous though this not required as training will be provided.
Training

· Food Hygiene level 3
· HACCP level 2
· TACCP/VACCP level 2
· Root cause analysis

Skills
· Displays effective communication, listening, influencing and persuading skills at all levels.
· Confident using a computer (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Self-organisation, motivated, planning, prioritising and time management., * Are you able to travel to site for 6am start.
