Job description

As an IT Support Technician for Equinoxx, you'll primarily based in the office acting as the first point of contact for the service desk. You'll be supporting multiple organisations with various environments, operating systems and hardware. You'll support senior engineers on project work and carry out maintenance on server and networking hardware., Customer service support

  • Acts as the routine contact point, receiving and handling requests for support.
  • Provides first line investigation and diagnosis and promptly allocates unresolved issues as appropriate.
  • Assists with the development of standards, and applies these to track, monitor, report, resolve or escalate issues. Contributes to creation of support documentation.
  • Responds to a broad range of service requests for support by providing information to fulfil requests or enable resolution.

IT infrastructure

  • Deploying, configuring and operating IT Infrastructure
  • Maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure and infrastructure components
  • Managing and applying software updates
  • Carry out routine operational procedures, including the execution of specified automation tools/scripts

Systems installation and removal

  • Installing and testing, or decommissioning and removing, systems or system components.
  • Use standard procedures and diagnostic tools to test installations, correct problems, and document results.
  • Install or remove hardware and/or software, using supplied installation instructions and tools, including handover to the client.
  • Contribute to the development of installation procedures and standards

Security operations

  • Delivering management, technical and administrative services to implement security controls and security management strategies
  • Receives and responds to routine requests for security support. Maintains records and advises relevant persons of actions taken
  • Assists in the investigation and resolution of issues relating to access controls and security systems.
  • Documents incident and event information and produces incident, exception, and management reports.

Network support

  • Providing maintenance and support services for communications networks.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of network problems.

Application support

  • Delivering management, technical and administrative services to support and maintain live applications.
  • Assists in the investigation and resolution of issues relating to applications.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven experience in providing IT support in a corporate environment or similar setting.

  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN architecture, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Hands-on experience with operating systems such as Windows (including Windows Server)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory management and Microsoft Office suite troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with remote support tools
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities combined with strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues swiftly.
  • Knowledge of service management tools such as Freshdesk, ServiceNow or Jira is desirable but not essential., * Working in a service desk or support role
