Job description
VIQU have partnered with a large education organisation seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their Data Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role focuses on building and delivering high-quality Power BI dashboards, datasets, and insights using Microsoft data technologies, including Power BI and Fabric. You will work independently, engage stakeholders, and deliver clear, accurate reporting at pace in a highly visible role., Ownership of end-to-end Power BI dashboard development, delivery, and maintenance. Build, develop, and optimise datasets using Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and SQL. Co-design performance and activity reports with stakeholders, providing clear analysis and commentary. Engage senior stakeholders to translate strategic and operational needs into reporting solutions. Promote data literacy through training, guidance, and responsive user support. Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests and data queries across the organisation. Ensure robust data governance, access control, and quality assurance across all reporting outputs. Contribute to automation and efficiency improvements through effective use of organisation-wide data.
Requirements
Proven experience delivering end-to-end reporting solutions as a Data Analyst. Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, data modelling, and Power Query. Strong Excel skills with basic SQL knowledge. Industry experience within a multi-academy trust, or similar public sector environment. Confidence presenting complex data clearly to non-technical audiences. Strong understanding of data governance, secure reporting, and access control. Self-starter with a delivery mindset and ability to manage competing priorities. Experience or awareness of Microsoft Fabric (desirable).
