Job description
- Deliver professional IT support via helpdesk, phone, remote tools, and on-site visits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, and server environments.
- Proactively monitor client systems for performance, reliability, and security.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, endpoints, and networking equipment.
- Carry out backup checks, server maintenance, and security updates.
- Manage and prioritise support tickets to meet client expectations.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, ensuring technical explanations are delivered in clear, plain English.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in IT support?, As an IT Support Analyst, you will be the first point of contact for technical support across a broad range of systems. You will provide remote, telephone, and on-site support to clients, taking ownership of issues through to resolution. The role requires strong technical ability, excellent interpersonal skills, and the confidence to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues., * Minimum 2 years of recent experience in IT support, ideally within an MSP or multi-site environment.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (client visits required).
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly and confidently to non-technical users.
Strong knowledge of:
- Windows Server and Windows 10/11.
- Active Directory administration.
- Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID.
- DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals (firewalls, switches, VLANs).
- Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Smartphone configuration (iOS, Android).
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Relevant IT certifications (MCSA, CCNA, CompTIA, etc.).
- Experience with Linux and macOS.
- Exposure to web hosting and domain management.
- Firewall and Switch configuration experience
Additional Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS check will be carried out (as Monitor supports education clients).
- IT qualifications desirable, but equivalent demonstrable experience will be considered.
