Job description

  • Deliver professional IT support via helpdesk, phone, remote tools, and on-site visits.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, and server environments.
  • Proactively monitor client systems for performance, reliability, and security.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, endpoints, and networking equipment.
  • Carry out backup checks, server maintenance, and security updates.
  • Manage and prioritise support tickets to meet client expectations.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, ensuring technical explanations are delivered in clear, plain English.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in IT support?, As an IT Support Analyst, you will be the first point of contact for technical support across a broad range of systems. You will provide remote, telephone, and on-site support to clients, taking ownership of issues through to resolution. The role requires strong technical ability, excellent interpersonal skills, and the confidence to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues., * Minimum 2 years of recent experience in IT support, ideally within an MSP or multi-site environment.

  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (client visits required).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly and confidently to non-technical users.

Strong knowledge of:

  • Windows Server and Windows 10/11.
  • Active Directory administration.
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID.
  • DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals (firewalls, switches, VLANs).
  • Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Smartphone configuration (iOS, Android).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant IT certifications (MCSA, CCNA, CompTIA, etc.).
  • Experience with Linux and macOS.
  • Exposure to web hosting and domain management.
  • Firewall and Switch configuration experience

Additional Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check will be carried out (as Monitor supports education clients).
  • IT qualifications desirable, but equivalent demonstrable experience will be considered.
