Job description
This is an opportunity to maintain and develop the Council's unified communication infrastructure throughout Conwy County. We are seeking an individual with proven experience in the following areas to work in our Unified communications team. The role will be pivotal in further developing the Authority's Unified Communications infrastructure and configuration in support of our ambitious Digital Transformation programme. The successful candidate must be able to 'hit the ground running' and the role will principally involve:
- Working with services to translate their evolving needs into coherent functional designs for Unified Communications solutions to include not only telephony, but omni-channel communications and integration into existing processes and systems
- Supporting telephony solutions to the Authority'
- Working as part of the Unified Comms team to maintain and support existing infrastructure and systems.
- Assisting the UC team in introducing, shaping and configuring new and innovative UC solutions
- Automating administrative and control processes to streamline our own internal processes, The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. Requirements
Do you have experience in SharePoint?, * Configuration and installation of modern SIP based Telephone handsets (e.g. MS Teams, Skype)
- Design, configuration and delivery of simple Telephony routing groups (e.g. Resource groups, Hunt groups, IVRs)
- Design, configuration and delivery of more complex multi-queue, multi-channel contact centre structures to specifications designed by the UC team and Service leaders
- Experience in usage and management of Telephony infrastructure such as Session Border Controllers
- Proficient in automation and scripting technologies to automate repetitive tasks and standardise administrative processes (E.g. Powershell, Power Automate etc.)
- Proven ability in translating service needs into pragmatic UC solutions
- Experience in using M365 management consoles in live, multi-tenant environments, including Sharepoint
- Proficient in Teams management including the configuration of Teams Channels, collaboration with external parties and tenant-wide policies.
