Job description

  • Collaborate in the design, preparation and execution of training activities in clinical simulation environments for students and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate in the integration of new technologies (digital tools, data analysis, computational models or artificial intelligence-based solutions) applied to clinical simulation and healthcare training.
  • Support the technical management of simulation resources (devices, software and clinical material).
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of clinical simulation scenarios.
  • Collaborate in the tutoring and technical supervision of Final Degree Projects (TFG) and Final Master's Projects (TFM) developed in the field of clinical simulation and biomedical engineering.
  • Participate in the evaluation of the training impact of clinical simulation programmes using objective indicators and results analysis.

Requirements

Master Degree or equivalent, * Education: Degree in Biomedical Engineering or similar. Master's degree in areas related to health innovation, medical technologies or clinical simulation.

  • Skills:

o Ability to analyse, organise and manage projects o Proficiency in programming languages and computing environments applied to the biomedical field (Python, MATLAB, etc.) o Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques applied to biomedical data analysis o Application of the scientific method and analytical thinking in academic, clinical or research environments

  • Languages: English (minimum B2) and Spanish. Knowledge of other languages will be an advantage.

  • Permanent employment contract for scientific and technical activities.
  • Professional category of Higher Degree Holder in Group II, Area 2, according to the collective agreement.
  • Full-time working week of 37.5 hours.
  • Gross annual salary: €34,927.22.
  • Personal leave: 6 working days per year.
  • Holidays: 22 working days per year.

The selection process will consist of two phases and the following scale will be applied, out of a maximum of 10 points:

-Training and curricular merits: 6 points. -Personal interview: 4 points

About the company

IdiPAZ seeks a Junior Engineer in Medical Simulation and Patient Safety under the professional category of Senior Graduate to join the research group led by Dr Manuel Quintana, Specialist in Intensive Care Medicine at La Paz University Hospital. The IdiPAZ Health Research Institute is the result of a partnership between the Hospital Universitario La Paz, the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, the Healthcare Advisory Council of the Community of Madrid and the Foundation for Biomedical Research of Hospital Universitario La Paz, which will be the managing body of the Institute. This strategic alliance has made it possible to tackle research projects through joint multidisciplinary teams belonging to these institutions, making the most of the human and material resources available to these entities for research and promoting research fundraising. In 2021, the scientific production of IdiPAZ included more than 1,600 publications (articles, editorials, letters, reviews, etc), 43% of the publications being our own documents. Original research and review articles by IdiPAZ researchers exceeded 1,200, more than 45% in the first quartile and more than 16% were published in journals of the first decile. Researchers from our institute have shown their participation in national and international scientific networks, with more than 81% of the total number of papers published in collaboration (81.3%). As for collaborative publications, almost 56% were national collaborations and 45% were international collaborations. Since our formal incorporation as an Institute in 2009, we have been implementing measures and actions of particular importance that have laid the foundations for a new organizational culture based on equality, diversity and non-discrimination.
