Your new company Our client is a highly respected, award-winning organisation with a global footprint and a strong local presence in Northern Ireland. With a reputation for excellence and innovation, they are committed to delivering outstanding service and investing in the growth and development of their people. Their Head Office, based in the Magherafelt area, is home to a dynamic and expanding IT department that supports the full spectrum of infrastructure and systems operations across the business. After a number of recent acquisitions across the UK, they need to expand their support team.
Your Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a busy and forward-thinking IT team. You'll play a key role in the day-to-day support and smooth running of the company's IT infrastructure, while also contributing to a range of exciting upgrade and transformation projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support for all PC hardware, software, and associated peripherals
- Logging and documenting support calls to aid in future issue resolution
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems to agreed standards
- Performing upgrades, new installations, and routine maintenance on infrastructure
- Troubleshooting system, server, and network issues, and resolving hardware/software faults
What You Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- A third-level qualification and proven experience in a similar IT support environment
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 desktop applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with Office 365 administration, including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and VMware
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A full UK driving licence and ideally access to your own vehicle (due to site location)
