DevOps & IT Support Engineer

We are seeking an experienced DevOps & IT Support Engineer to join our growing technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting cloud infrastructure while also providing high-quality IT and application support. This role blends DevOps engineering with hands-on operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both automation and problem-solving in live environments., DevOps & Cloud Engineering

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, EKS)
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub
• Implement containerisation using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Ansible
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools such as Nagios

IT Operations & Support

• Provide L1/L2 (and occasional L3) support for cloud-based and on-prem systems
• Troubleshoot Linux and Windows Server environments, including Active Directory
• Manage incidents, service requests, and problem resolution in line with ITIL standards
• Support VMware infrastructure and virtual machines
• Ensure SLA compliance and contribute to service improvement initiatives

Application & Platform Support

• Support Java and Spring-based applications in production and staging environments
• Assist with database troubleshooting across MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS SQL
• Work closely with development, QA, and business teams to resolve technical issues
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and release activities

Do you have experience in Unit testing?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Essential

• 7+ years' experience in DevOps, IT Support, or Infrastructure Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong Linux and Windows Server administration skills
• Experience with ITSM tools and incident management processes
• Working knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL)
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Desirable

• Java / Spring Boot application support experience
• Terraform and Ansible automation experience
• ITIL 4 certification or strong ITIL-based working knowledge
• AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner or higher)
• Experience in regulated or enterprise environments (healthcare, telecoms, SaaS)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Relevant technical certifications (AWS, Oracle, ITIL) are advantageous
